WIN! Tickets to Frog's NYE party at London's Forum
Dunno 'bout you, but I'm not even thinking about New Year's Eve yet: there are more pressing matters to attend to, like actually buying some Christmas presents. Whoops.
But maybe you are thinking about December 31, and more specifically where you'll be partying come those midnight chimes? And if your thoughts align with this competition... well, you might want to enter!
We've a pair of tickets to give away for FROG's NYE bash at the Forum, in Kentish Town (9-17 Highgate Road, London NW5), and a bundle of other goodies, too. Appearing live on the night will be The Young Knives (pictured), Rumble Strips and Larrikin Love, and winners will receive signed records and t-shirts from the first two acts upon entering the venue. Best take a bag, then.
Full details:
FROG @ The Forum
December 31; 9pm-4am
Playing live: Larrikin Love, The Young Knives, Rumble Strips
DJs: Farris (The Horrors), Pull Tiger Tail, Way Out West
Tickets: £25 adv; available from Astoria box office without booking fee
Says Henry from The Young Knives: "We are really chuffed to be playing FROG on New Year's Eve. Besides it being a great vehicle for our ever-growing egos, it also means we won't have the ballache of trying to plan New Year's Eve. We just get a ready made party at which we are one of the guests of honour! What more could we ask for?"
Some signed stuff? Well you can't have it! But you can. And some tickets, too! Just answer this question:
The Young Knives have a member called House Of Lords, which is very silly. But which of the following people might you find inside the real House Of Lords?
A) The Rt Hon. The Baroness Hayman
B) Mulder from popular sci-fi series The X Files
C) The guy that sells sausages in the rain beside the HSBC cash points in Camden really late at night and gets no business because his sausages are both soaking wet and probably full of rat cancer
D) Dave Angel, Eco Warrior
E) The people who were versus Larry Flynt
F) Steven Tyler, of Aerosmith fame
G) Theo Graham-Brown
H) Michael Bolton, Eric Clapton, George Michael, Noddy Holder and Steven Tyler, of Aerosmith Fame
I) Bad Santa
J) Peter Shringley a.k.a Michael Stipe's chiropractor, also famed for selling hot dogs in Camden
K) Mariah "All I Want for Christmas is for you to die" Carey
Just send your answer to mike DOT diver AT drownedinsound DOT com ASAP, writing 'FROG' in the subject line. Competition closes Thursday lunchtime (December 21). Please include a contact telephone number.
