Gloomy industrial muthas (muthas?) Nine Inch Nails - still featuring former Icarus Line guitar mangler Aaron North, pictured - have all but finished their new album.
The follow-up to 2005's With Teeth long-player is to be mixed in January. Core member Trent Reznor - man, he angry - said some things:
"Is it possible I am actually finished writing and recording a new Nine Inch Nails record? Apparently so. We begin mixing in January!
"Juggling fifteen all-new tracks around. Testing sequences. No leftovers from With Teeth. Highly conceptual. Quite noisy. Fucking cool."
The band also release a live DVD in February, featuring live footage of classics like, um... what have NIN done again? Oh, that one about fucking you like an animal. Yeah. That one is on it.

Wasn't so sure about that album, it aint bad but it's hardly The Fragile.

the one they've put out already is one of the best dvds i've ever seen, includes tons of projections by bill viola, really good setlist, amazing sound

teeth was so much better that the fragile, at least there was at least some coherence with with teeth. the Fragile had a few stand out tracks but was mainly an album witha lack of direction.
very excited about teh new one though and looking forward to seeing them in march!
