Canada's current crop of insanely wonderful supergroups is keeping many peoples' faith in indie-pop alive. At the top of the batch is Broken Social Scene. The band's eponymous new record is released in the UK at the end of January, whilst already being out in the US. It's reviewed here to glowing praise.

The first single to be taken from the record 'Ibi Dreams Of Pavement (A Better Day)' is released on 28th November 2005 and it's really quite special...

The band have also announced a string of London dates, two of which have sold out and one that we can exclusively unveil now.

The band are also expected to add more dates around the UK in February - DiS will aspire to keep you updated throughout.

They're awesome, especially if you're into the whole Arcade Fire scene. Basically original pop that doesn't compromise intelligence for enjoyabillity. Just got hold of the new album-Winner!

i just bought 2 tickets online from Wayahead (after you posted 'Yes. It Has'. not that i didn't believe you... just that i had to at least try so i could tell the missus i made the effort. good job i did)
