Great! Ormond Street benefit with Redjetson and more

Last year, one in ten beds at London's Great Ormond Street were closed due the massive budget deficit that the hospital is facing. This meant that nearly 100 operations were unable to be performed and, as a result, two children died.

It's not so ridiculous therefore that Drowned in Sound suggests you pop along to Hoxton this weekend to take in some great music and do your bit for the kids - literally.

Then in October they tour with Pure Reason Revolution, then iLIKETRAINS and then support Bloc Party for two sold out nights at Brixton Academy. Details on their website and myspace.

As I said on the message boards, fair play. I spent six weeks in Great Ormond Street as a kid and they saved my life.

Nah, Frank from Million Dead or Simon from Biffy = Jesus. Frank even has the biblical stances down to a tee.

According to MBA's resident wildlife expert, Dr Mathew Van Anthony phD:

"Richard is not actually a fox, but a Corgi. It's easy to mistake the two from a distance, especially as we cross-bred him with a squirrel, giving him that distinct bushy tail. A little-known fact about Corgis as that they actually DO have posable thumbs, enabling them to play guitar, peel an onion and type love letters on behalf of the Royal Family. Richard is the World's first SQUORGI, and can do all these things whilst jumping from tree to tree, eating nuts."

So How come Caretaker aren't listed on the Artists on the top of the page? Did we offend Drowned in Sound?
Remember the early days anyone?
