Stop with your hoo-haa and boo-hoo! Feeder, rockers what might've been splitting up yesterday according to this very site, aren't, basically...
An official statement from an important man sayeth:
"Contrary to inaccurate reports in the press and on the radio, Feeder are not recording their last album, nor set to split.
"An over-enthusiastic reporter seems to have put 2 and 2 together and come up with 43. Indeed the group are looking forward to the release of new single ‘Shatter’/’Tender’ in October and a Far East and UK tour in November.
"They have already started writing new material for a Singles Album to be released in the New Year and a further studio album to follow the current album Pushing the Senses."
So, now you know fo'sure.

Contrary to inaccurate reports in the press and on the radio, Feeder are not recording their last album, nor set to split.
Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Is that a comment, or a straight quote?
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Jesus. Is it just me or do this band churn out albums like there's no tomorrow.

"New material for a singles album" = "knocking out a couple of shoddy tracks for the contractual obligation album that has a nice fat advance".
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Shame, I wish they wouldn't clog up the airwaves with their dire, uninspiring soft rock.
Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Oh well, party at mine still on at the weekend.

well, i like Feeder. I dont liste nto them much now (not properly for a good year now) and i think i only gave Pushing the Senses a couple of listens - it just werent doin nothing for me.
I thought Echo was a bit pooh really. I think the music then is easily the most uninspiring after their latest one. I loved Swim, Polythene (possibly my fave) and Yesterday.
I thought Comfort was a brilliant album and achievment for them to. I saw them live touring for that album, and i really had low expectations what with their maturing mellower stuff but they completely rocked, one of the pleasantest surprises ive had at a concert (they rocked like old) and were much much much better than the (apparently pissed) Cooper Temple Clause who were supporting.
They were an important part of my childhood, i think ive grown out of their music and their new stuff doesnt inspire me but ill always remember the early stff and find the time to sneak tangerine and co back on for a past blast when im feeling nostalgic.
Good luck to them. and just to prove that not everyone either loves OR hates them (tis the way it seems atm)
and i cant see them keeping going much longer... that B- Sides stunt and now an A sides one, tis the sign of a band winding up.
RIP FEEDER

can we erwrite the headline to "feeder still dull and monotonous and bombarding xfm with songs on a radio near you..."
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Who gives one? Not many people like them and those that do aren't going to in a few years.
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
fuck off and split already!
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
I like Feeder have done for years and probably will for years to come, so please to hear that they are not splitting :)

They should have the sense to know when to quit, instead of wheeling out one turgid album of tripe after another. Bands who quit at the right time tend to be remembered fondly (see Suede and Pulp for proof), while those who don't are doomed to be remembered for carrying on as shadows of their former selves (see Oasis, Idlewild and the Manics).
Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Actually, thinking about it, Suede probably did one album too many really. Wish this forum had an edit function! If it did, I'd replace Suede with the Smiths in the above post...

The manics would still be loved if they had split after Everything Must Go.
They could have renamed the band, and still carried on.
Feeder should have done this after Comfort in Sound.

Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splittin
Pulp are still together aren't they? Or something weird like that. Arguably though, Pulp will never be forgotten because they were truly a brilliant band and Cocker is a truely brilliant bloke, Feeder are just shit.
Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
We know what you mean- Suede with Bernard Butler, not the empty shell that followed..
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
the difference between Feeder and bands like Suede, Manics, Smiths, Oasis, Pulp is----- Feeder have never, ever, ever been good or interesting or original in any way.
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
WHY?! WHY ?! WHY MUST THEY CONTINUE TO PLAGUE ME? THEY'RE SO BLAND IT FILLS ME WITH VIOLENT RAGE.
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
PLAYER PLAYER PLAYER PLAYER PLayer player.
I dont want to talk about them anymore.
(I dont like Feeder, its fluke I'm aware of lyrics)
How many of their songs mention stumbling/tumbling/fall/slipping.etc...?

Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Their last one? or perhaps do you not actually know any of there previous albums, thus grounding your coments on there songs you hear on the radio?
If you dont really know a band work then save posting comments to people who do.

Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)

all i can say to people who are moaning and boring people with their pathetic posts all the time is Shut the fuck up and produce something better. Feeder are the best band around and know one cares for you foul mouths :]
Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Yup. Anyone who doesn't like something, keep their mouths shut about it. A music messageboard is really not the place to voice your opinion on a band, is it? Ahem...
Re: Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
Feeder need to get their shit together the last album wasn't up to scratch like Comfort in Sound and Echo Park was.
Feeder still hungry (i.e. they're NOT splitting)
you all havent got a clue really have u.? feeder havent had an easy time latley but yet there still probably one of the most dependable and talented rock bands out there.. grant nicholas is one of the most consistent and under rated songwrites in the uk.. fair enough i see wat ur saying but feeder have been around for a long time and for that they get stoned, half of these new new wave garage style bands wont be around 12 yrs from now like feeder have done. take it from a musican as most of u are all wanabes who shop at the right stores and go to the right places but u cant write a song can u? if i acheived wat feder havedone id die very happy.. now go and watch mtv2 with ur stripey jumpers on you wankers.
