Reckless in-store behaviour

The Camden branch of Reckless Records - a valuable source of second-hand vinyl loveliness for Londoners - is to go the way of its Upper Street counterpart and close down this month.

The store, at 92 Camden High Street, will cease trading on September 11th (the shops on Berwick Street, Soho, remain open). As way of celebration/an excuse to mash shit up proper, local punky types Bullet Union will be performing in store at around 6pm. This is a free show, so if you wanna come, come early. Cos it'll be pretty packed. Come even earlier and buy some neat records at stupidly low prices, too.

Another date for the Londoner's diary: the aforementioned Union play with the excellent This Aint Vegas at the Buffalo Bar on September 7th. Their second album The Night Don Benito Saved My Life is released on September 12th.

Re: Reckless in-store behaviour

Selectadisc is becoming Sister Ray, though... no?
I did get told but I forgetted.

Reckless in-store behaviour

it was rubbish, so i'm not surprised. the wreckords were no cheaper than any other 2nd hand store apart from Beanos, but then everything is cheaper than Beanos.

Re: Reckless in-store behaviour

yeah but there's already a sister ray! selectadisc doesn't need to become sister ray!

i wonder what's replacing the existing sister ray.

better not be a claire's accessories. i'll kill. with my bare hands and a safety razor.

Reckless in-store behaviour

so does that mean it's not going to be worth trudging up to camden for a cheap closing down bargain.

i can see copies of Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants at a stupidly low price of £6.99.

or even better, the last Reef album and not much change out of a tenner.

Re: Reckless in-store behaviour

its being knocked down to make way for a park or to extend the market or something... i forget... the orig sister ray will not exist post christmas...

Re: Reckless in-store behaviour

What the... Selectadisc is going? Noooooooooooooooooo, that's such bad news, I love that place. Sister Ray is pretty top-notch too.
