I don't want to go to (DVD)

Elvis Costello will release a DVD of rare promos on September 5th.

The DVD will feature 27 tracks, including all the singer's videos from 'I Don't Want To Go To (Chelsea)' to '13 Lead Steps Down', and Costello has recorded a commentary.

As a bonus feature (what DVD is complete without one?) the DVD will feature a whopping 70 minutes of TV footage from the archives, taken from channels across Europe. Whether that includes footage of the man abusing his fans after certain football matches is unknown.

What a lovely picture.

Elvis has said that "If you pay for this dvd and don't like it you can eff off and cheer up because you're not getting your money back"

70 minutes of Oliver's Army performances on various different TV programs from around Europe? big whup.

It'll be worth getting if there's a single minute of live footage of the Attractions around 'This Year's Model'. I'm totally addicted to 'Lipstick Vogue' at the moment. Puts all these current new wave chancers to shame for sure.

You mean '13 Steps Lead Down'...

The best thing was after that gig he said words to the effect of the people who were asking for refunds didn't have a punk rock attitude.

Releasing "greatest hits" DVDs and charging £30-40 for a gig. PUNK ROCK, ELV.

I hate this man. His Glastonbury set went on for about 3 hours and it was soooo boring.

The only reason he's got any recognition is because he's called Elvis.

No, he got recognition because his stuff with The Attractions owns. Seriously, buy 'Armed Forces' and pretend you don't love the pop.

However, that doesn't mean that playing the hits nowadays distracts people from the fact he's fat, old, and his new material is very, very boring. So in a way, I don't particularly envy you having seen him at Glastonbury.
