Venerable Icelandic post-rock beautymongerers Sigur Rós return this November for a string of 'proper' UK dates, following their limited appearances earlier this month.
The band, who release new album 'takk' on September 12th will play at the following shows:

9th London Brixton Academy
10th Edinburgh Corn Exchange
11th Dublin Olympia
13th Liverpool Philharmonic
14th Birmingham Symphony Hall

THEY PLAYED SALFORD JUS THE OTHER WEEK!! DONT BE GREEDY! HEHE was an ace gig tho i had front row seats , was well impressed :) i must admit im gutted bout the lack of manchester date too really! hehe might trek to liverpool for the evnin for it tho

The sound in Brixton Academy sucks and the atmosphere is awful. Think I'll goto Birmingham, a symphony hall sounds much more like it!

The gig at the lowry was amazing, i never seen a gig in there before, just derren brown, and the sound is amazing!! plus the seats were really comfy too hehe

I'm afraid I think it's very possible that there's a mistake regarding the Birmingham date and unfortunately Sigur Ros don't have a confirmed date in Brum on this tour (at the moment). xx

i have to go. but i can't find anything about pre-sale tickets or when they're going to be on sale or anything. it's not even on the brixton academy website. and none of my friends want to go and i'm leaving for greece in about 20minutes.... so if anyone really really nice wants to buy me a ticket and i'll give them the money i would love them forever... please?

Hmm... methinks I'll be taking a cheap coach/train to Liverpool for that one - sound's better than at Brixton I'm sure and I'll be in Bristol so I may as well make the trek...

i'm with you there maybe, the sound at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh is horrible as its a bloody atmosphereless swimming pool type building. bah. guess it'll have to be tho.

anyone want two tickets for brixton? The stupid pre-sales agent ended up putting my order through twice!!!! so now i'm lumbered with two extra.
