South-coast Elbow fans who missed out on tickets to the London playback of the band's forthcoming DVD Leaders Of The Free World can breath a sigh of some relief: there will be another playback in Southampton next Wednesday (July 20th).
Leaders Of The Free World, the band's forthcoming album, is to be released on both regular CD and DVD on September 5th. Tickets to the DVD playback at London's National Film Theatre sold out in hours, so expect the following to be pretty busy.

At The Orange Rooms, Southampton
Doors 7pm; first come first served so arrive early.
The night will also feature DJ sets from Kerrang Radio/Power FM's Emma Scott and Jase Burns.
The DVD features visuals for all of the 11 tracks on the album, and is the work of both the band and the Soup Collective. A single, 'Forget Myself', is released on August 29th.

I'm yet to find a jukebox ANYWHERE in the world that has Elbow in. Though I once talked to Guy Garvey in the queue for the toilets at the Apollo and he said he reckoned Doves were better than Elbow. Where am I going with this? I dunno.

I saw them supporting Coldplay at Bolton. I bought Cast of Thousands this day. So far (track 3) its good.

I saw an interview where Elbow claimed that they were mistaken for Doves by a Doves fan every night on their joint tour.

they got the name of every person who was singing at Glasto when they recorded the crowd bit for 'Grace Under Pressure'...hence the album title :)
