The Boss and some dross 'confirmed' for Glasto '07
- Artists:
- Bruce Springsteen »
- Razorlight »
Both Bruce Springsteen and Razorlight are apparently confirmed to play Glastonbury next summer.
Emily Eavis, daughter of festival organiser Michael, said The Boss is to be one of the three headliners appearing on the main stage. Michael, meanwhile, was overheard backstage at the Q Awards stating that the rather-less-brilliant Razorlight were also certain to feature.
Eavis, senior, said: “Razorlight will definitely be there, we love them to bits. Some people say that we have overlooked them, but I don’t know where they get that line from.”
Perhaps some people are suggesting what you should do, not saying what you have or haven't done, Michael...

Emily Eavis was on XFM this morning after this was announced
she said that Bruce Springsteen is definitely NOT playing. She also said that the Saturday night headliners have headlined before, but not on Saturday.
She also said that one of the headliners was at the Q awards yesterday, and that two of the headliners (maybe including this one, not sure) have never played Glastonbury at all before.
Hmm.
so this is their monster big name is it?
i'd be intersted to see him, but surely he's not that monster is he?
they'd be hard pushed to beat brian wilson
Oasis
i guess. I thought the Killers and Kylie were already confirmed/heavily rumoured?
cryptic!
clues!
The Boss
should reform The E Street Band.....holy shit, to hear and see Born To Run live would be excellent...I have never seen him live :(
^ Thats what I thought
Fucking Razorlight !!
Why do so many people like them??!
They are shit arn't they??? Its not just me is it???
Tossers!
E street band
have reformed
like 5 years ago
Springsteen
is someone I would LOVE to see
much more than Brian Wilson
I'm off to see ze Boss
next week in Birmingham. It's part of his Seeger Sessions stuff, but should still be mighty fine :D
...
if Borrell and co are playing they'd better beef up their security
there'll be a backstage punch-up for sure...
At a party a few weeks ago..
I met Pete Townsends niece.
She said The Who were playing.
the
who are ace live.
aw
lame.
and fucking razorlight.
if oasis are playing I'll shoot myself. or, yknow, just not go.
tosser
Especially when you remember Mr Townshend wacks off over kiddie porn and is now a registered sex offender!
I got told one of them last month
by someone who knows their shit. Believe me, it was a real surprise. Old, not been together for a long (LONG) time.
The Who ARE ace live,
but they genuinely drink tea on stage. Not a bad thing on it's own, but shortly after "windmilling"? Yep. A bit gash.
but
he got cleared of that didn't he?
The Boss/The Man In Black
in my yoof I went to Glasto and was terribly disappointed to hear that some old country and western star called Johnny Cash was playing..disappointed until I SAW him rule the stage like no other. The Boss would probably rule every bit as much, because just like the former, he's the real deal, as opposed to awful charlatans like Razorshite.
are
my comical romance playing?
Been really really
getting into some Springsteen lately. He's one of the only artists who can do fantastic overblown rock and genuinely moving acoustic stuff and everything inbetween. Perfick.
They are not together now though Fullerov
as he's doing the folk thing at the mo.
Tell us then!
None of the names mentioned so far will surprise.
The Who, Genesis, The Boss. None of them are Saturday night headline material.
