Danish skyscraper-epic rock architects Mew return this July with a selection of live dates and a brand new single. The track 'Apocalypso' is already available through legal download sites such as the iTunes Music Store but gets a 'proper' release on July 18th.
There is, of course, an accompanying UK mini-tour, with the dates as follows:
July
25 - London ICA
26 - Manchester Academy
27 - Nottingham Rescue Rooms
28 - Glasgow ABC
The band have also been chosen to support R.E.M. on the European leg of their world tour.

Yup, give the album Frengers a good listening to. I think it's a collection of old songs re-recorded from the Danish releases but it's excellent. Best songs for me are Symmetry, Comforting Sounds, She came Home For Christmas and 156.

Mew are ace. Frengers is one of the most gorgeous pieces of work ever recorded. The live show is going to be phenomenal. The new album is going to be best.
