the america version had a slightly more interesting bill ... im placing a bet that killswitch engage will be more than able of blowing the other bands clear off the stage.
just compare alive or just breathing to casually dressed ... no competition

Re: Funeral For A Friend headline post-wha'eva tou
the killswitch stuff with the original singer was incredible...and chimaira have their moments too.
trivium are playing it very safe though ... but of course
all these new bands are jus combining fear factorys soul of a new machine, machines heads burn my eyes and sepulturas chaos ad (but non have matched those records yet imo.)

Aside from the ace drumming, chimaria were meh when I saw them and were completely blown off stage by every time i die

Story Of The Year? HAHAHAHAHA...unlucky.

Story of the Year are one of the most bland mediocre bands to emerge from this scene since er....couple of days ago *yawn* That scene is so boring now and FFAF are fucking dire. KSE are immense though and I haven't a clue what they are doing on a bill with those piece of shit bands. They are far superior and to be honest, in a completely different genre.
Re: Funeral For A Friend headline post-wha'eva tou
I'd agree, I like 'em too.

I suppose all this lot had better cash in while they still can...soon their predominantly 13 year old fanbase will have grown ears and developed something called taste...

You'll change your minds after the gig....
Re: Funeral For A Friend headline post-wha'eva tour in November
Do you always equate a headline status with quality?
No.
It's based on profile and sales only.

Re: Funeral For A Friend headline post-wha'eva tour in November
I see your point, but it shows you that the majority must like them if based on 'profile and sales'.
Re: Funeral For A Friend headline post-wha'eva tour in November
And does the majority rule?
No.
The majority merely follows the leader; the independent fractions ultimately enforce change and evolution.
If everyone liked the same thing, art would die.
Funeral For A Friend were cleverly marketed, leading to their status as the first British band to successfully transplant the poppy post-hardcore sound purveyed by Finch et al into the UK market.
Thus, they will forever seem like a leader in their field.
Sadly, musically and artistically speaking, they are as redundant as Betamax cassettes. My only hope is that kids falling for their superficial charms use them as a stepping stone to better, more exciting and more soulful hardcore; this pop shit is no better for the intellect than The Crazy Frog, and it's AS annoying.
That is all, see ya.
