Squire moots Roses resurrection
Far be it from us to indulge in idle chit chat and gossip mongering, but recent comments by John Squire that The Stone Roses could reform in order to perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival instead of Kylie Minogue have set our hearts a' flutter...
Squire started reformation rumours off by mentioning in an interview with Time Out magazine that he is hoping to repair relations with ex-band mate Ian Brown and suggested that the pair should reunite at Glastonbury. Squire said to Time Out: “The plan is to make a ferocious guitar record on my own. And then put the Roses back together. Kylie’s pulled out (of Glastonbury), hasn’t she? Maybe we should do it.”
I mean, it's not going to happen, is it? Especially as our Ian B seems to be getting increasingly more righteously odd, but then again, stranger things have happened...

I can beleive that about the worryingly pointless scissor sisters - we should all know now that people who watch the majority of the bands on the main stage arent actually into music so dont be surprised if it is this pile of steaming PR pink pound horseshit
and the roses reforming is a bit tawdry do you not think- maby ein 5 or ten years surely

Isn't Ian Brown headlining t'other stage meaning that if the Roses were to replace Kylie, he'd have to be genetically cloned. The Clone Roses anyone?
Re: Squire moots Roses resurrection
Bright eyes isnt the headline on sunday, thats ryan adams apparently, so both would be possible if this was true...
Re: Squire moots Roses resurrection
Yes IB was on at the same time as Kylie on the other stage, so there'd have to be 2 of him to perform on both stages at once. And it would be embarassing hearing him play Roses songs on 2 stages at once.
Re: Squire moots Roses resurrection
The SS!?

There's one major problem here, and that is Ian Brown's voice. Nails down a blackboard.
