TOTP to return... ish
Top Of The Pops is to return to television screens next weekend in a format that includes both new and archive performances and videos.
Even when TOTP went the way of the dodo a couple of months back, insiders stated that its sister show, Top Of The Pops 2, would be broadcast again. This has proven to be the case, as the show that'll air on Saturday night (September 30) will be called TOTP 2, even though it'll feature live performances from current acts Razorlight and Nelly Furtado.
The 50-minute show, presented by Steve Wright, will also feature The Beach Boys and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. After this initial show, the programme will switch to a 30-minute length, but will continue to highlight current acts a la the original TOTP.
Anyone tuning in early - TOTP 2 will air at 8.20pm - can catch the Lauren Laverne-presented The Culture Show at 7.30. Bit classier than CD:UK, that.

was made during V fest coverage?
She's always struck me as one who follows a scene because it's 'cool', rather than actually having any particular liking for the associated music.
Seeing her present Transmission was awful. She'd introduce almost every up-and-coming type indie band as her favourite band, in the vain hope of getting some street cred.

A Bit like every other DJ/Presenter then...Bowman, Murray, Lowe, Whiley...they all want that extra album voiceover dosh so it'd be a pity to p1ss anyone off wouldn't it?

can only be appreciated if you saw her face....which did that whole 'wink if your with me audience' thing that she does.....
she clearly couldnt give a toss about fatboy or kasabian....and thought that they were no competition...thats what i took from it anyway....
