Quit Your Own PET: drummer leaves

- Be Your Own Pet »
Be Your Own PET (Or is it 'Pet'? Do we care?) have announced that drummer Jamin Orral has left the band.
Orral apparently wishes to spend more time working on his label, Infinity Cat. That's either the best name for a label we've heard in ages, or the worst. We're not sure.
Orral also has this thing called 'college' to deal with, and another band on the go called Jeff. That's either the best name for a band we've heard in ages, or the worst. We're not sure.
Be Your Own PET have a US tour upcoming, so expect a replacement to be announced SOON. They release a single, 'Bicycle Bicycle', through XL on Monday September 11. It's download-only, mind, so don't be looking for it in Andy's Records. Does Andy's Records still exist?
We're not sure.

Almost as bad as the Kooks pun...
Anyway, Andy's records is dead. Sad really.
nah
they were terrible. SO overpriced!
You're right.
But you could get alot of good things. They gave me albums that weren't out yet, and some pretty rare albums.
After A.S. Records shut down
in the mid-Nineties, all we had in Cannock was Andy's Records - it was massively overpriced but holds a place in my heart for memories like me and my 6th form buddies going down en masse to buy Finelines on day of release.
When it shut down I found the first Fierce Panda compilation, the Deceptive Records compilation and the Cay album for £3 each so it slightly redeemed itself.
Since Andy's shut down all we have is a shit market stall, which is the remains of Walsall's 'Bridge Records'.
That said, I don't live there anymore.
There is (was?) an Andy's Records in Aberystwyth but that was an indie. Presumably owned by a Welshman named Andy?
Infinity Cat
is a better name than Ecstatic Peace for sure.
Our Andys Records
shut down this year :(
rip-off merchants though
although all we've got now is a music zone, which has the CD selection of my younger brothers music rack
they
deserve absolutely no respect from anyone.
i was there!
hmm must have been his last gig at Reading then? that was brutal tent moshing. infinity cat? its ok.
Infinity Cat
is okay, Asthmatic Kitty is better though.
quite surprised
...that you didn't attempt a pun on the guy's name.
infinity cat = great label
It's where I discovered Be Your Own Pet, and according to the bands bio, it's where Thurston Moore found them as well. It appears Moore is quite taken with Jamin's other band Jeff as well, so maybe they'll be off to Ecstatic Peace as well. I've bought loads of stuff from infinitycat.com, and have rarely been diasappointed with any of their music. Their best album ever I swear is the new Jeff CD called Castle Storm.
