Melting Pot was a best-of, right?
Anyway, The Charlatans are to release a collection of their singles, from 1990 to right now, on November 13. It'll be called Forever: The Singles. Yup.
The eighteen-track CD will be complemented by a DVD of the same title, presumably featuring promo videos. Yup. Expect to see some live footaage and television clips, too.
Tracklist me, mother!

No
'Then' or 'Me. In Time' for starters so hardly a complete collection. I guess most bands now aim to release 3 or 4 "Complete Collections" carefully omitting certain singles from each one therefore ensuring the diehard fan has to buy the to actually obtain a complete collection! Sigh...
doesn't
the die-hard fan own all the albums, and thus all the singles...
a slight tweak to the tracklisting each time justifies the new 'best of' for sale to the nostalgic and the newcomer who see/hear the adverts.

And...
aren't best ofs aimed at getting new fans, rather than satisfying old ones?
hahaha - cashin' in - exactly!
This is silly. I used to be a massive Charlatans fan - and have the DVD with all the promo videos on it. That will literally be the same DVD with just a few more videos on it from the last three albums - whats the point.
Also like someone touched on - the CD doesnt include Over Rising, Then, Me In Time, Tremelo Song, Easy Life, Jesus Hairdo, Crashin In, or Bullet Comes. So isnt a singles collection at all.
End of contract?
And no Jesus Hairdo, no deal. And you shine like a genius!
