Pixies plan new DVDs, and Frank Black and Breeders return...
Following a tour-ending, two-night stand in New York last weekend, the band revealed to www.billboard.com that there are two DVDs currently in the works. Both will be based around the band’s eight month tour this year, one disc being a concert DVD and the other a separate tour documentary.
The live set will be drawn from six or seven concerts that were filmed in full. There will not however, be a corresponding live compilation CD - since companies such as DiscLive have already pressed 1,000-plus CDs recorded direct from the soundboard of each stop on the tour.
Also in 2005, Frank Black has plans to release two different records, both of which were recorded in Nashville this year with session musicians, including Levon Helm of The Band. Kim Deal, meanwhile, is putting together a new Breeders disc to follow up 2002's 'Title TK’.
Therefore, any new Pixies LP will be a while yet…

Was very happy to see the Pixies at TITP.
Pixies plan new DVDs, and Frank Black and Breeders return...
After waiting 12 years to see the Pixies, and despite them being my favourite band for years (until I got sick of Debaser being played at every shite indie club in the world - wake up DJs they did do a lot better songs than that you know) I was kinda disappointed in them live this year, it was a bit like watching someone on telly. The Breeders, on the other hand, are amazing live, so I hope they tour the record!
Was anyone else at the Shellac gig when someone asked Bob Kim Deal or Black Francis and he said the Breeders were way better than the Pixies, me and my friend clapped a lot but most people booed. Oh how wrong they are.
