Following the ending of Perry Farrell's relationship with Dave Navarro and co., the remaining members of the current
line up of Jane's Addiction have formed a new band with a new front man.
Steve Isaacs has been brought on board as part of the newly created The Panic Channel.
It transpires that Isaacs is a former lead in The Who's rock opera 'Tommy', as well as fronting a band called Skycycle. Guitarist Navarro met the singer when Isaacs was a VJ for MTV.
In an interview on RollingStone.com, Navarro revealed that band have a new record underway in Los Angeles, and the band are 'still figuring out its musical identity,' he says, 'creating music for the love of it and feeling like we're kids again.'
The Panic Channel debuted nine songs at their official first live show, in L.A. last week, a benefit for the city’s homeless. A tour is expected this spring.

When I first read that comment I though it said 'like a shit Velvet Revolver'. Which certainly made me read it again.

the last JA album was class. but i think you could be right with this one, can't they just give it a rest!
Re: Jane's crew reveal new band
I don't think you can really ask musicians, people who make music for a living, to give it a rest!
Jane's crew reveal new band
I never really saw the appeal of Jane's Addiction, so I cant imagine this being anything other than shit.
Jane's crew reveal new band
the last Janes album was inded ace, but again, this doesn't necessarily mean that this latest incarnation will be any good

I'm still half and half on 'Strays'...old Jane's is superb, but...no, this can't be good. It just can't.

Strays was a joke, the older stuff was just amazing, this could still be good without Perry, infact i think thats why Strays lost a lot of the old Janes
Re: Jane's crew reveal new band
You must be kidding! Ritual de lo Habitual was a defining album of my late teenage years (back when the Chili Peppers were still cool), and I didn't expect Strays to come close, but I have to say it's the best of the bunch. One of the few new albums that can drag my sorry ass on to the dancefloor and have me fly around like a psychotic dervish on speed.
