Beastie Boys: "The shit is hot"

Canadian website Jam! (link) has confirmed that The Beastie Boys are in the studio as of now, working on the follow-up to 2004's To The 5 Boroughs LP.

It's expected that the trio will again produce the record themselves, and Adam Horowitz - Ad Rock to Beasties fans - told the website that he's confident about the new material.

"Wait 'til you hear the new shit that we're working on," said the rapper. "The shit is hot."

Good. Good.

Michael Diamond - aka Mike D - added that the band are currently in the 'messing around' stage of proceedings. The Beasties' new DVD, Awesome, I Fuckin' Shot That!, is out now. Someone send a copy to DiS. Please.
