"Shot through the heart, and you're to blame,
you give emo, a bad name (bad name)..."
Or. Something. Anyway, Fall Out Boy - perhaps you've seen their faces staring at you from the covers of such magazines as NME and Rock Sound - are to return to the studio this month to begin work on the follow-up to their successful Under The Cork Tree long-player.
Bassist Pete Wentz reckons the four-piece have as many as 20 songs ready to record. They were due to begin recording some weeks ago, but changes at their American label (Island) have seen their studio sessions delayed.
Says Wentz:
"We've been ready to record for about the last three weeks but ... there have been some changes at our label. Half the phone numbers I have for people at the label don't have people on the other end of them anymore. It slowed us slightly, but we're getting back to speed."
Wentz also confirmed that a single - presumably a song not already available - will be released before the year is out.

20 songs ready to record
as they all sound the same
nothing they ever do will top
Sugar, we're going down.
as it is one of the best singles ever.
I heard the Panic At The Disco album
in HMV the other day. Dear god, it is horrible. I haven't heard the Fall Out Boy album, but I'm guessing it is exactly the same.
the singles are the best ones on it,
plus the first song, the name of which i forget.
oh
and don't get me started on the sentence-length song titles....
Sarky fox
I really hope that you are being sarky on this occasion.
Panic!
Are truly, truly awful. It's like listening to a cross of The Bravery,5ive, Justin Timberlake and *insert generic emo band name here*. Forget Christina Aguilera, if they played Panic! in Guantanamo Bay to the inmates they'd crack like *that*.
Fall Out Boy I don't mind so much, apart from the long song titles.
long song titles
were funny when drowningman did them, but fall out boy just don't seem to do it right...
Bashing Emo
Is easy.
But justified.
It's hard to do it well though, so I'm not gonna bother.
I'll just say they're not as good as other band that have played music before.
Such as Chas N' Dave.
half of the phone numbers dont work?
cant they take a hint?
i bet theyre the kind of people who cant get into the house and theyre all like, 'hey, my key doesnt work any more, and why was there a locksmith there earlier?!?!'.
sorry.
dont apologise
i laughed.
i had my screen small
and thought this story was about The Fall.
See ya!
just done it again!
so silly
Fall out boy
you guys have NO idea
