Party for FREE this Friday - Silver Rocket and DiS play pop
Gosh, golly, gosh, is it really Thursday already? Where does the week go? By now I'm sure you're all discussing your plans for the weekend - where you're gonna go, with whom, and what you're gonna consume until your stomach climbs out through your mouth and runs for its life down the street. Well, if you quite fancy that street to be Upper Street, Islington, then read on...
This Friday night sees London-based indie-rockers Econoline (MySpace) launch their second album, This Band Isn't Funny Anymore, in no little style at The Buffalo Bar, London. It's a special event (click 'event' for more details), as the band haven't performed as a four-piece for some time. They're superbly supported by Foals - who you may know feature members past and present of Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies and The Edmund Fitzgerald - An Emergency and Skiptracer. It's FREE entry to the first 50 mailing list types through the doors, but if you don't fancy signing up (you should, y'know, here), DiS has two pairs of tickets to give away. Winners will also get a copy of Econoline's new album, courtesy of Stupid Cat Records.
Just answer this question:
An Econoline is a type of van, but which of the following is a type of man from the Wizard of Oz?
A) Tin
B) Cheese
C) ROFLHARRISTWEEDYCHERYL
Please e-mail your answer to:

Be sure to write "Truth serum" in the subject line. Winners will be notified by E-MAIL tomorrow lunchtime-ish. TA! DJs on the night - which opens around 8pm goes on until 2am - include Silver Rocket and DiS's own Colin DJ CrabbyCrab Roberts and Das Gink. We're gonna play a bunch of rubbish but you'll be drunk so who cares?

i have a horrible feeling
that my megadrive is on it's last legs. probably won't help that i spilt cider on it last night :(
mine is splattered in booze
from when I shared a house with crazy drunkard sailors.
Wicked gig last night
HURRAH.
Though why I've woken up wearing a different T-shirt to the one I fell asleep in is beyond me...
