Twinkle, twinkle: listen to DiS's exclusive Constellation Records podcast

Like all right-thinking music lovers, we at DiS towers have always had muchos love for Montreal's uber-inspirational Constellation Records, and regular visitors to the site will remember our/Plan B's recent three part interview with co-founders Ian Ilavsky and Don Wilke.

Though a wide-ranging piece covering the label's decade-plus existence, the original focus was on the fine new crop of artists and albums out on Constellation this very year. As a little sweetener, Ian and Don have very kindly put us together a podcast of tracks from some of this year's new and upcoming CST releases. Remember, you won't find a note of this music on Spotify, so enjoy this wide-ranging half hour of genre-bending delight, hosted for us by our chums at Mixcloud.

Just as a matter of interest, what exactly is your relationship with Mixcloud?

no relationship

just really like what they do and think they've sensibly solved a big problem with web radio.

Thank you

This is really awesome. There are a lot of fine bands on that podcast.

that's cool

I think it's got great potential. First social-networking-cum-participatory-media site I can see myself actually using.

<3 this

the Land of Kush track

is amazing. Gutted I missed them live in Montreal by one week when I was there!

the title track of that album, Against the Day

is incredible, definitely one of my songs of the year, would heartily recommend.
