Oh Brighton, with your annual clusterf*ck of bands 'n' booze, you really are spoiling us.
This year's Great Escape festival boasts 350+ acts playing in a mere 34 venues over a period of 3 days. There's an awful lot to see and do, how on earth do you schedule it? Fear not, for DiS has spent many (MANY) hours blasting through MySpace pages (not to mention years of checking out new bands on a daily basis) to try to find the golden-topped cream of the crop. Obviously we did our best to book the bestest three nights of the festival at The Honeyclub and you could just hang around there until you get DVT or you, like us, could explore the 33 other bills and hopefully find yourself witnessing something you've never heard before and hassling the band as soon as they finish to buy their CD.
Our research is ongoing and we're sure there's plenty we've missed, forgotten about or not aware of yet but here's roughly what DiS plans to see... we suggest you stalk us.

Aren't Abe Vigoda and The Mae Shi
playing as well?
Both definitely worth seeing.
ah
balls. knew i'd miss something (tho I thought Abe Vigoda was pretty dull live when I saw him at SXSW and still never investigated Mae Shi, and no-one noticeably mentioned them when I asked who people were seeing on the boards/twitter)
Calories
are playing on the thursday too
Does anyone know
if any bands who paid the $30 fee via Sonicbids to 'get a chance' to play TGE actually got a gig at the festival, and if so which bands?
