JoFo tour diary is back!
By overwhelming popular demand Johnny Foreigner are back on-the-road blogging for DiS.
You may remember last year that fight!-pop!-sters JoFo kept a hugely entertaining tour diary for DiS (find it here) and this year they've gone one better, yanking out their video camera and chopping up the footage to give you a greater insight into their inner sanctum.
These video blogs are preceded by an unedited, capital letter free, note from the band:
hello drowners!
we went to hull, it was a bit sketchy. there were these girls, right, totally singing along and dancing and applauding, which is obviously good, but they were also coked up little idiots who tried to rob our stuff and ruin the set. this, we're told, is completely normal; the city itself embodied in younggirl form. still, weirded us out slightly.
then we had a sleep day where i watched star trek (ITS REALLY GOOD) then we went to bristol and had a Gig Of Champions. we played the lousiana last year when we had SUPERHYPE, they cooked us lovely meatballs and about 7 people came. and this time, the meatballs were just as good as we rememberd and we totally packed out the venue. yay us. we were so distracted, it took us a full gin bottle to realise we hadn't done much filming. hence this rambling late night edit of visu-guff. thx!
Check DiS soon for more tales from the road and catch them this Saturday on the DiS stage at The Great Escape.

there are many capital letters in that note
no
that's shouting ;-)
nice to see JoFo/DiS relations have improved.
A great band, and nice folks by the looks of it. Their tour diary last year was probably the best thing on the site (barring my output, obviously).
why would they be bad?
DiS' former Editor Gareth Dobson now manages them?!
right
i so want to CLEAR THIS UP. the diaries i used to write were mike's idea and when i was doing them i'd send them to him and he'd annotate them and put in links and stuff. i stopped when he got sacked (the whys and howfores are NONE OF MY BUISINESS) because he's my friend and writing to DiS to find out if i could carry on, sending them to a different guy, seemed like a pretty lousy thing to do. has nothing to do with any imagined politics, k?
tis nice to see our name back on the left side of the page tho, aha.
i feel NOTHING BUT LOVE to everyone involved. thx to everyone for watching and not laughing at my awful edits

Bristol
was massive fun, my neck hurts from attempting to out-Jeff Big Jeff mind :)
yay, they are back
good work jofo. see you in wakefield! and bradford! go west yorkshire!
They were
really really good at the great escape. I was working there so missed a bit of there set and then my boss cut their set short which made them mad unsurprisingly. but yey for tour diary being back
