In Photos: Grammatics @ Sheffield Leadmill

Leeds quartet Grammatics made the short trip across Yorkshire on Friday night for a gig in Sheffield, supporting Red Light Company. Red Light Company really aren't very good, but Grammatics are.

According to our spies at the show, the crowd - mostly there for the headliners, the fools - didn't really seem to get it, but the small pocket who did revelled in a selection of choice cuts from the band's recently reviewed debut album.

Setlist

  1. 'Shadow Committee
  2. 'The Vague Archive'
  3. 'D.I.L.E.M.M.A.'
  4. 'Polar Swelling'
  5. New song ("The hip-hop one")
  6. 'Relentless Fours'

I was there for Grammatics, but saw all three bands

I bought my copy of the Grammatics album from Emilia at her lovely stall - it turned out to be the last copy she had. Indeed I had to lend it to Owen's sister so she could show it to a friend.

I'm excited for these guys, they've got a good year lined up :)

I then went to see Red Light Company, who were OK - I like Arts & Crafts.

yawn!

boring... they look like another band.

You look like your mum

BURN.

anyone

wanna play 'spot the gay' with these photos?

when we saw them

a few months ago the band seemingly had woody allen playing bass for them - which was pretty cool. He seems to have been replaced by a Topman dummy lol. Bring back the geek i say
