There are are not a lot of people who'd tell you that 1988 - '92 was a crap time for music but for the same token not that many people who'd tell you it was an essential time for music.

We asked Kaiser Chiefs enigma of a guitarist Whitey what he would like to contribute to the takeover and got no response. We asked him what he loved and the response we got back was this no nonsense collection of YouTubes for you to click through and a mix-tape tracklist...
