DiS popped along to the annual Summer Sundae Weekender last weekend, held in Leicester’s De Montfort Hall and the surrounding Victoria Park, for three days of music, merriment, fine real ale (seriously, congratulations to the organisers for providing such splendid brews), and plenty of jigging. And, for the first time, DiS programmed a stage, the Rising Stage, on the Friday. Hooray, us!
Ahead of a review of our musical picks of the festival (coming later this week), here’s photographic documentation of the Friday’s events on the Rising Stage, curated by DiS. On the bill: Youthmovies, The Mae Shi, Noah & The Whale, Fuck Buttons and Howling Bells.
Youthmovies

The Mae Shi

Noah & The Whale

Find the official Summer Sundae website here, and come back to DiS in a day or two for words on our favourite bands at the festival.
Thanks to the festival’s organisers for having us for the day.
