This must be a strange experience for Chris TT to be on this bill, sandwiched as he is between an atonal effect-heavy trio (Kid) and a wank metal wannabe stadium rock band (Motorpsycho).Chris TT, you see, is an indiepop minstrel with educated leanings.

Minus the rest of his usual band we're treated to a rare display of TT Unplugged, a man, an acoustic, and an arsenal of entertainingly wayward lyrics. Opening with the familiar 'Burn A Bridge Build A Bridge', relaying the tale of Tony Robinson's Time Team discovering the Holy Grail, more instantly recognisable Evening Session type "hits" follow - 'Can't Stop Dreaming Of Injured Popstars' and 'Drink Beer' included.

Chris has a new single out soon, it's called 'Eminem Is Gay' and he can't quite play it live yet. We get half the song before he gives up - a display of proud amateurism or a teaser to make you go out and buy the single, the choice is there for the conspiracy theorists. Whichever way, it seems engineered for maximum publicity in the same way 'Injured Popstars' made The Mail with it's celebrity massacre fantasy

We laugh, we nod, we clap loudly above the chattering cock rock freeks at the back. Good stuff.

andy, i know you disliked motorpsycho but they did get better (...), and ended up playing a six minute organ solo (before we left...)

obviously lots of over thirties with suspicious beards did like them tho...

kid were ok too.

"six minute organ solo"

I rest my case. Just because those in their thirties can relive their youth to it that doesn't make it good! What's next, people in their twenties supporting shite 80's pop "ironically"?

oh, they already do.
