An explosive, ballistic, shamanistic, hypnotic, chaotic, magnetic, irreverent, indulgent, mental, experimental non-stop rhythm fest, ranging from patter like raindrops to the thunder of a runaway stampede. DJ and mad shaman-scientist Eye stood close up and face to face with his three percussive disciples, original drummer-girl Yoshimi, second drummer ATR and third drummer Yojiro, and together they shook us, without even 1 second of a gap, for one hour and fifteen minutes, the rhythms and sounds mutating , rotating, tickling and then crushing. It was a religious experience, like having three synchronised raves in the same room.
Quite Awesome.

The Boredoms - London Royal Festival Hall
i'm highly annoyed I missed this...Boredoms are simply amazing.
Re: The Boredoms - London Royal Festival Hall
they got a bit boring (ha!b but no, i mean it). when he built up the peaks it was great, but otherwise samey. john cale varied between shit attempts at dance music and shit self reference (he mentioned the velvet underground at least 10 times) and awesome emotion (the acoustic stuff and "heartbreak hotel"(the elvis song)). anyway, i went for free(god bless xfm), so i'm not complaining.
Re: The Boredoms - London Royal Festival Hall
I was doing backline fo the two bands. The Boredoms were lovely, and John Cale was morose and cold. When he was on stage I felt it was
both self referential and self-REVerential, humourless and dour, so I got on with packing down the Boredoms drum kits and didn't bother watching.
Not really my cup of tea, I guess. I'd have really slagged it if I had mentioned it, so I didn't.
