Twofold

I was blown away by Twofold tonight. Which is no mean feat considering I witnessed the mighty Twelve Hour Turn yesterday, and thought I had no room left for amazement. 4-way vocals, super riffage, snappy everything with hooks a-plenty, there isn’t really anything not to like about them. And it’s really nice to see a band on this side of the pond with the kind of passionate gruff melodic dynamo-core that’s on par with the No Idea (awesome) roster. Who don’t emulate those bands either, but put a British or whatever twist on it. Twofold aren’t a band that you should go and see just because you could label them a UK alternative for the impatient Small Brown Bike fan though (even though that’s hardly a bad label to have), but because you can hear the progression from the G.A.S. Drummers split, onwards and upwards. And it sounds good.
