Le Danger truly are a strange creature. Imagine all of the most shambolic moments ever witnessed in music over the past 50 years all mangled up together put in a big mashing machine and yet emerging at the other end with glimpses of pure unadulterated genius. You see, they take to the stage and don’t look like a band - guitarist Steven mopes around the stage in his own little word occasionally laughing at random, drummer Johnny bashing seven colours of shit out of a drum kit, and whilst all this is going on, James is sat at the front making on that he is a puppet whilst contorting various ungodly noises from a child’s Casio keyboard, a Gameboy and a knackered old tape recorder, occasionally interrupted by bursts of white noise that make people that foolishly stood close to the stage edge back for fear of there lives (and ears). Half the venue is just confused by them and don’t know what the hell is going on whilst the other half are content to have there ears blown off. Great. I think.
The Golden Virgins take to the stage and proceed to play possibly one of the best gigs that I have ever and most probably will ever see in my life. Edgy guitars are interspersed with spiky raw haunting vocals as Lucas Renney rips his very soul open and bears it open for the world to see while thunderous drum explode around you. This is music that makes you feel that you can rise up and spit in the face of God. This is music that you really do have to think about, you can't just go and put it on in the background, you put it on when you want to think, when the world is just a little messed up.
And do you know what the really scary thing is? This is the Golden Virgins first gig.

i personally thought le danger were great ... maybe ... sort of... in a messed up kind of way ... u certainly could`nt class them as background music and ignore them could you.
