Handsome Furs
Handsome Furs is Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade) with his fiancee Alexei Perry, a poet and writer of short fiction.
Dan describes Handsome Furs as: "Me and Alexei and a beat box, some keyboards and some guitars. It kind of sounds like the first Jesus And Mary Chain record... It's basically Wolf Parade without the guy that everyone likes, and no real instruments."
The duo formed in 2006, and have been summarised as dark and minimal, while also noisy and earnest.

Fucked Up
Fucked Up transcend "the boundaries of punk with melody, aggression, expansive structures and enigmatic diatribes".
Nobody in the band owns a mobile phone, since you asked. "They exist within a culture of confusion," says their own manager.
Pink Eyes - vocals
Concentration Camp - guitar
Mr. Jo - drums
Mustard Gas - bass

Mark Kozelek
Gloomy frontman of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon, and solo artist.»
Wooden Shjips
Wooden Shjips is a vital and refreshingly inspired quartet playing loud rock ‘n’ roll in a style heavily influenced by the experimentalism of psychedelia, classical minimalism and garage rock excess. Started as an experiment in rhythmic primitivism and group improvisation, the current lineup brings a more structured rock approach to its performances, utilizing a traditional lineup of drums (Omar Ahsanuddin), bass (Dusty Jermier), organ (Nash Whalen), guitar (Erik “Ripley” Johnson) and vocals.

Rolo Tomassi
A veritable smorgasbord of styles, these female-helmed discotech thrashers specialise in adrenaline-soaked, keyboard-laden art-punk that jerks, jolts and jigs with an ultra-camp temperamentality.
The band's debut self-titled EP was released in late 2006 via Holy Roar and subsequently sold out; a re-pressing featuring bonus tracks is available now.
Edward Dutton - drums
Joe Nicholson - guitar
Eva Spence - vocals
James Spence - keyboards
Joseph Thorpe - bass
The Week That Was
Peter Brewis' post-Field Music incarnation; a psychological itch set to wax that's indebted to the likes of Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel and Tin Drum-era Japan.
