Reviews
Rose Kemp, SJ Esau, Babel, Men Diamler at Bristol Seymours Family Club, Wed 20 Sep
There exists in Bristol a sub-community of music fans, the type I imagine/hope exists in every city, who regularly support their own, turn up at every gig by certain artists and enthusiastically engage with every performance. The latest of which takes place in the kitsch working men’s atmosphere of Seymour’s Family Club...»

Rose Kemp
Just turned 21 and blessed with an impossibly rich and reaching voice, sometimes accompanied by shimmering electric guitars, sometimes looping itself into complex, sumptuous, harmonised hooks, or sometimes simply rising unadorned and a cappella to silence a room. One of the most mutable modern artists, Rose Kemp's songs and sets have earned her appearances at umpteen festivals, National Radio airplay, and support slots with such diverse acts as The Subways, Gravenhurst, James Yorkston, Selfish Cunt, King Creosote, Decoration, Malcolm Middleton and Holly Golightly.
Once you’ve heard her you’ll never forget it, her songs stick in your soul and pulse in your brain like nothing else on earth. Rose Kemp will rock your World. 2006 will see Rose release two singles and an album on One Little Indian Records: her debut album Glance came out in 2003 on Park Records.

SJ Esau
From his myspace: "Hi, my name is Sam. With a slightly pained forehead and surrendering arms, I would describe this music as 'experimental pop'. Sometime we are we not I with companions. Lots of things have been recorded. Some of them are good things. I like the knees of females and would one day like to touch one. "
SJ Esau is singing, playing guitar and looping and sometimes, he's playing with Max Milton ( Violin, Bass, Trumpet, Guitar ), Chipper ( Cello, Trombone, Druming ), Mole Harness (Guitar, layers, samples ) and Oliver Marler ( Bass, Guitar ).
»Men Diamler
A singer/guitarist, Men Diamler has shared gigs with John Parrish, Josephine Foster, Mi and L'au, Marissa Nadler, Kelley Stolz, The Mitchell Brothers, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Tony Allen, Rivulets amongst others.
In 2004, he recorded the album "The Heathen Sounds Of.." in a variety of basements, bedrooms and living rooms - the material stretched away from the live performances into multi layered instrumental territory, with blocks of space rock, noise and chanting.
In 2006, he intend to tour a lot and record another album.
