I'm wondering whether making the trip out has been worth it at all - I could have stayed in, with a mug of hot chocolate and My Name Is Earl on DVD, and not spent time trying to work out which members of what bands to praise for being in time. The Retro Spankees

The Retro Spankees are making a name for themselves with their blend of eccentricity and melodic alternative pop music.

Charlie Wood (guitar, vocals)
Josh Ryan (guitar)
Jo Collis (bass)
Robert Nesbitt (drums).

Live they are accompanied by Old Mac Monkey The White Sock Monkey, various duck-based cuddly toys, an ironing board and a cardboard tractor.

Their debut album 'I Know You Are But What Am I?' is out now via Kooky Records. They are currently touring and working on their follow-up album.

The Victorian English Gentlemens Club describe themselves as a "three-piece contemporary music group". They consist of:
