About the artists
Hundred Reasons
- Colin Doran - vocals
- Paul Townsend - vocals, guitar
- Larry Hibbitt - guitar
- Andy Gilmour - bass
- Andy Bews - drums
2000 proved to be one hell of a year for Hundred Reasons. It all started off the back of a 4-track demo landing on the desk of the Kerrang! bods. They then landed the main support slot to Kittie at the Garage in March (their 3rd ever live show), which brought them to the attention of independently hip Fierce Panda Records. They then went on to release their debut single "Cerebra" (through Fierce Panda) in July. They completed their first Kerrang! sponsored tour and then performed with plethora of up and coming talent from the US and the UK including The Get Up Kids, The Crocketts, Miocene, Boy Sets Fire and Garrison as well as a slot at the Lost Weekend held at the London Arena.
Not satisfied with being one of the most talked about new bands in the UK with a gaggle of A&R men hotly in persuit of band, they promptly marched off with the Best New British Band Award at the Kerrang! Awards in August and firmly planted themselves into the minds of many.
One would be fooled into thinking that they are now resting firmly on their laurels. You'd be wrong. They spent most of December in the studio writing and recording new material in-between the various tours and one-off shows since the Summer. This outcome of these sessions has left the guys armed with an arsenal of new material, ready to storm into 2001. Since January the band have played an Evening Session tour in Scotland, supported Idlewild and played with US outfit Rival Schools. They have recently signed a worldwide record deal with Sony Music off-shoot - Columbia Records.
Hatebreed
Hatebreed are a hardcore band from across the pond. Founded 1994, it was not until 1997 that their debut album Satisfaction Is The Death of Desire nestled on music shop shelves thanks to Victory Records.
In the five years that followed between their debut and its successor, Hatebreed toured with Slayer and Slipknot amongst others, and re-released their pre-Satisfaction EP, entitled Under The Knife, in 2000. Second album Perseverance saw the light of day in March 2002, with a third (The Rise of Brutality) following eighteen months later.
Fast forward to August of 2006 for their forthcoming fourth long-player on legendary label Roadrunner Records. The album is Supremacy, and the band are:
Sean Martin - guitar
Matt Byrne - drums
Chris Beattie - bass
Jamey Jasta - vocals
Frank 3 Gun - guitar
DiS FACT: You might also know Jamey Jasta for being the host of the metaltastic MTV show Headbanger's Ball.

Byron Davis - vocals
Dallas Coyle - guitar
Doc Coyle - guitar
John Outcalt - bass
Corey Pierce - drums
In Flames
Hooray for Swedish melodic death metal!! In Flames, whilst they may not have created said genre, certainly have had a giant influence on it since their inception in 1990, when i was just nine. They have managed to get through fifteen band members in their history, and the five that survived are:
Björn Gelotte - Guitars
Daniel Svensson - Drums
Peter Iwers - Bassguitar
Jesper Strömblad - Guitars
Anders Fridén - Vocals
36 Crazyfists

Viking Skull
For Raging Speedhorners Gordon Morison (drums), Frank Regan (guitar) and Darren Smith (guitar) with Roddy Stone (vocals) and Waldie (bass), Viking Skull provides a chance to take a break from the heavy-duty pounding metal and play some sleazy, laid back rock.»
Fightstar
- Alex Westaway - vocals, guitar
- Charlie Simpson - vocals, guitar
- Dan Haigh - bass
- Omar Abidi - drums
From First To Last

Bullet For My Valentine
Bullet For My Valentine are made special for you by these lovely looking chaps:
- Matthew (Matt) Tuck - Vocals, Guitar
- Michael (Padge) Paget - Guitar
- Jason (Jay) James - Bass, Vocals
- Michael (Moose) Thomas - Drums
Bullet For My Valentine come from Wales, and no jokes please, because they're angry. They won't take any shit from you ponces, as vocalist Matt Tuck sings:
'I scream into your face, I scream into your face until my veins are bursting through'
Scary. That's not to say that you should lock up your daughters though, as they show a much gentler and romantic side:
'The clock is ticking, My heart is bursting through my chest, And now I’m crying, (these tears are falling off my face)'
Beautiful. They have been heard saying that they are the new Metallica. Whether or not you believe this is down to opinion, but 100,000 emotionally scarred teenagers can't be wrong.

Straight outta Seattle, Aiden are a young band. A very young band. Named after that whiny child from the piss-poor Hollywood remake of Ring, they released their debut when two of them were still in "high school", before catching the attention of Victory Records. They're punk, they're post-hardcore and they're a bit goth. Check them out on the links below.
yah, they have a myspace
and an official site
Betty Curse
Have you ever seen the film 28 Days Later? You HAVE? Well then you'll already know Betty Curse for her teenage lead role in it. Yep, that's right, Betty Curse is really just actress Megan Burns' solo musical project. People are calling it "goth-pop". As if you needed any more proof of the riduculousness of this venture, here's a quote from Betty herself:
"I like dressing up. I like drinking wine. I enjoy loneliness. I like romance. I like being in control. I like being submissive. I like reading poetry aloud. I like absinth. I like Parisian prostitutes from the early 1900s, true ladies. I like tattoos. I'd like Nick Cave to sing to me as I bled to death. I like making up stories. I like to lie, it makes life more interesting. I kill people and sell the bodies. I'm in a band, but then who isn't?".
Er.. right on, sister.
Not content with being a total nutter AND having no real ability to write her own songs, she had a lot of help from Eugene Kelly, Davey from the Crimea and Andy Huxley from the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. God knows how the album will turn out.
Betty's MySpace page is here.
