Thomas Truax, The Half Rabbits, The Scarlet Letter Union, Tri-City President, Edward J Hicks at The Joiners, Southampton, Thu 16 Mar

But promoters Ejector Seat throw no ordinary party... »
About the venue
The Joiners
A nice pub venue with a wide but not too deep stage. Gets a mixture of brillant small gigs, to the bigger bands playing smaller dates.»
About the artists
Thomas Truax
A one-man antifolk machine, Thomas Truax has even created, out of bits of junk, two of his own instruments:
The Cadillac Beatspinner Wheel (and its baby version, Sister Spinster)
The Hornicator
Must be a pain in the ass if either of them break on tour.
He has an album available called 'Full Moon Over Wowtown', which will be reissued in Jan '04 on London label Real Time, and he has played Truck Festival as well as various antifolk conquests.
Interesting fact: He was once an animator on 'Celebrity Death Match'»
The Half Rabbits
Formed in September 2002 and based in Oxfordshire, the Half Rabbits consist of Michael (vocals/guitar), Alice (bass/vocals), Chris (guitars), Sally (drums).
They've gigged with bands like House of Love, Editors, The Paddingtons, The Stands, The Cribs, 10,000 Things and Eastern Lane. The band have received excellent reviews from the likes of rollingstone.com, BBC Radio 1, Drowned in Sound and the BBC. We also feature on Smalltown America's Public Service Broadcast #4 compilation.»
The Scarlet Letter Union
Formerly known as Judas Kisses.»
