Intelligently noisy and fuzzily spiky, Action Plan are earnest English alt-rock the way your Mum used to make it.
OK, my Mum never actually made guitar based alt- rock of any description, but the point is, though they might not be the most ground breaking thing you’ve ever heard, something about them is just right. It might just be that the world needs furrowed-browed quartets to pound away at guitar, bass and drums in furtive concentration, otherwise, it will spin off its axis.
If so, bedecked in their ex- military shirts, Action Plan have been deployed to stop us all whizzing off into space. They still look a little under-confident at the minute but they probably just need to play out in front of more people who can tell them they’re good. There’s something about them too, which gives the welcome hint of being slow burners – a band who might get better and better with age. But there’s no telling the future and right now they’re already worth hearing.

Action Plan
I think they're bloomin good actually. I've seen em in London a few times and can't understand why there's not much of a buzz about them at the moment.

I'm from Leeds, so don't get to see them as much as i'd like to but can definitely vouch for the fact that they've come on in leaps and bounds since I first saw them in Jan 04. (and I thought they were pretty good then).
I hope they do get "noticed" very soon.
