The *Dillinger Escape Plan *are the ultimate pioneers in the math-metal / noise-core genre that so many others struggle to master. *DEP *are the very _antithesis _of convention. To describe them to an innocent would be the opposite of pop. If there was ever anything that could exemplify an organised chaos better than this band I dare you to bring it forth, for I have never and doubt I ever will find anything more beautiful than this.
It is almost unfathomable that a human being can perform this music – if one is to call it such. The sheer speed and dexterity that is added to the incredible technical brilliance means that this show is one of the most exhilarating and powerful I have come across. Tonight, arms flail, guitars are swung and faces are pulled taut as every last scrap of energy is hurled into the effort for the cause.
*DEP *are hardly known as the most highly productive band in the world but that is understandable seeing as this music is hardly easy to write nor master the co-ordination of. Indeed _‘new’ _singer, *Greg Puciato *is about to make his début recording appearance with the band despite touring with them for almost two years. The new material sounded shit hot, but with Puciato at the helm that is not surprising.
