This gig is showcasing four of the most popular and most hyped bands around at the moment. It is telling that only one of them is British. Brixton Academy
Capacity: 4,272, to be precise
Nearest tube: Brixton
It is rather large and has a nice sloping floor, making it easier for the vertically-challenged gig-goers to see the bands. There is a seating area too. Decent sound. One of the best big venues in the UK.
Pre-gig entertainment can be found in the form of the crap, young skateboarders in the skateboard/BMX park round the back of the venue.
Post-gig entertainment can be found watching the Hell's Angels chase away the t-shirt bootleggers.

Bullet For My Valentine come from Wales, and no jokes please, because they're angry. They won't take any shit from you ponces, as vocalist Matt Tuck sings:
'I scream into your face, I scream into your face until my veins are bursting through'
Scary. That's not to say that you should lock up your daughters though, as they show a much gentler and romantic side:
'The clock is ticking, My heart is bursting through my chest, And now I’m crying, (these tears are falling off my face)'
Beautiful. They have been heard saying that they are the new Metallica. Whether or not you believe this is down to opinion, but 100,000 emotionally scarred teenagers can't be wrong.

Straight outta Seattle, Aiden are a young band. A very young band. Named after that whiny child from the piss-poor Hollywood remake of Ring, they released their debut when two of them were still in "high school", before catching the attention of Victory Records. They're punk, they're post-hardcore and they're a bit goth. Check them out on the links below.

Hawthorne Heights
Hawthorne Heights got together to play music they were passionate about and take a shot at being a full time band. Signed to Victory Records, their debut The Silence in Black and White was released in 2004, receiving gold record status during the summer of 2005.
The band's second album, If Only You Were Lonely was written partially on their bus during last summer’s Warped Tour. Musically, it "tests the limitations of the emo and screamo music genres, adding deeper and darker subtle guitars and a more diverse selection of material". So it's probably emo then.

Metal! Hardcore! Other Stuff! Still Remains hail from Michigan in the US of A. Selling 5,000 copies of their self-released debut If Love Was Born to Die, they supported such acts as Poison the Well, As I Lay Dying and Every Time I Die before being snapped up by Roadrunner and recording Of Love and Lunacy.
