What do you get if you throw 'Parallel Lines', 'Dog Man Star' and 'Different Class' into a cement mixer? After tonight, that's an easy one to answer as the Hot Puppies don't just join them together and paper over the cracks, they make you forget that those three aforementioned records had ever existed in the first place.»

The Hot Puppies
THE HOT PUPPIES are the most cohesive, passionate, kick you in the face at fifty feet pop sound since rock and roll first made god-fearing yanks burn Elvis records. Past singles have seen the Welsh quintet offering a mixture of surf twanging guitars, Johnny and the Hurricanes whirling organ sounds, soaring harmonies and a lead vocalist who was surely soloist in the valley school choir but got sacked for being caught with ciggies and whisky too many times. 'Hot Puppies are great without needing any hi-falutin explanations. Excellent big-hearted songs with chunky swirling organ, twanging finely pointed guitar lines and a solid but sensitive bass/drum rhythm section – and did I mention that Beccy singer lady has a voice like a heartbroken angel' - Artrocker. And lo! The Hot Puppies have the honour of being the first band to get a release on the new Label Fandango, with the single expected to drop on Nov 7th.»
