Formed in 2003 from the ashes of Britpop and playing gigs in awful bands when they were 14, *teevo have notched up an impressive amount of gigs around the country - supporting the likes of Kasabian and The Long Blondes and headlining gigs in London.
In 2005 *teevo attracted the attention of Chromium Records - and release their debut single on 2nd January 2006.

The Knock
THE KNOCK - An unconventional electronic dance act where the band play all the instruments and write all the hooks, no sampling of old soul records but instead original riffs. A dance act where classic songwriting is the most important thing not gimmicky samples and this is also a band who are more at home ripping up stages on the toilet circuit with a full band than Dj-ing at a swanky club...
At the forefront of the band is the dual vocal displays of the Jeff Buckleyesque tones of Toby Watson and the raw power and energy of Sam Fuller, the guitars both also supplied by Toby and Sam hark back to days between '68-'79. A collection of vintage keyboards, analogue synths and classic samplers are operated by Jim Sanders, the disco flavored bass is played by Baz Lokat and the driving drums and percussion are delivered by John Harris.
The band who come from Essex are in their early 20's and already have the experience of playing to big audiences at Shepherds Bush Empire and the Meanfiddler plus with praised acclaimed from industry types - you will be hearing a lot more about The Knock by the end of the year.»
Dakota
Dakota are:
Aidy - vox
Jamie - guitar. b-vox
Matt - bass
Pete - guitar. b-vox
Sam - drums
Hailing from Colchester and Ipswich, Dakota have set about making music that has the longevity and impact to make them a mainstay in the musical scene that they have longed to be part of. They love The Beatles. They love The Stones. They write songs that sound like the bands they aspire to, and they don't hide the fact. There's no shit involved, no hidden message, no anti-Bush shit. It's just rock n roll.
From the reviews they have received you could pitch Dakota's sound somewhere between The Libertines, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Kings Of Leon, Oasis, The Beatles, Interpol and probably many more. There's something for everyone!
Now with their attitude and charisma plus a load of fucking good songs they want to let you hear them. What they offer is pretty simple stuff really; guitars, drums and a decent voice, but once these 'simplicities' are combined there is a great fucking sound buzzing in your ears...»
