Introduction
These Arms Are Snakes is a Seattle-based progressive/post-hardcore quartet currently on Suicide Squeeze Records, featuring former members of Botch, Nineironspitfire, and Minneapolis-based Kill Sadie, with drummer/producer Chris Common joining after the recording of Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home. They have toured the U.S.A. with such notable bands as Minus the Bear, Big Business, Mastodon, Cursive, The Blood Brothers, Engine Down, Hot Water Music, Isis, Pelican, Chiodos, and Against Me!. Minus the Bear, Playing Enemy and The Blood Brothers have lent members to assist in the recording of Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home. The band is known for their intense live shows, which often feature vocalist Steve Snere crowd surfing and spending a large portion of the live performance in the audience.
