The Paradise Motel were :

At the end of the 90s, Australian band The Paradise Motel were hotly tipped with their Mazzy Star meets Trip- Hop meets SlowCore. Centered around the duo Sussex/Bickford, they made beautiful ethereal music and released two albums ‘Left over life to kill' and ‘Flight paths as well as numerous singles and ‘reworkings' a mini album of remixes.

After their split, Matthew Aulich joined Drugstore and later formed Small Sips with Matthew Bailey.
