The Kitchen

Initially started 2 years ago as a side project of the bands Bis and Discount. After Ryan Discount moved from Florida to Glasgow, the band was seen to have a more realistic future.

The duo of Amanda and Ryan are inspired by acts such as ESG, X-Ray Spex and Sleater-Kinney. They try to create electro beats with punk ethics.

They plan on moving from home-recording to Seven-A Studios (Arab Strap, Slam, Dirty Hospital...), to re-record stuff.

To wit, there has been a low-key release on the long-running Damaged Goods Records, and a number of split singles with the likes of Katastrophy Wife, Radio Vago and Selby Tigers. Work has began on their debut album. Expect to see them play in a country 'near' you soon!
