When Katie Jane Garside left her band Daisy Chainsaw after suffering from the pressures of fame, she vanished off the musical radar for nearly a decade. Re-energised and ready to take a second shot in the spotlight, Garside joined forces with former Chainsaw guitarist Crispin Gray for a new project, Queen Adreena. The group signed to Blanco Y Negro for their debut album Taxidemy (2000). They returned two years later with the even more schizophrenic follow-up Drink Me. Tom Edwards
