An heavy metal band formed in 1987 in Halifax, England, Paradise Lost are often considered amongst the creators of Death/Doom Metal.
During their 11 albums career, they have often experimented, adding bits of synth pop, electronica or goth into their metal.
Paradise Lost are much more popular in Mainland Europe than in the UK.
