MAI

Born in a small seaside place in the North of Sweden, Johanna Wedin is MAI. She started attending the local music scene in Stockholm as a teenager and perfected her singing technique by learning lyrical art before leaving Sweden.

She stayed in Paris, then New York and Paris again where she started getting known and signed a record deal with French label Nacopajaz.

Part folk, part influenced by bands like Sigur Rs, her first album Still need a kiss was released in 2007.
