My Top 10 live shows of 2011 by Dom Gourlay

In Depth by Dom Gourlay

Having seen nearly one thousand bands throughout 2011, whittling this list down to just ten performances proved a nigh-on impossible task. However, after much deliberation and soul searching discussions with friends and acquaintances, here in no particular order (bar the first one, natch) are what I consider to be the finest ten performances these tired and weary eyes and ears have witnessed this year. »

Drowned in Newcastle #6

In Depth by Paul Brown

It’s only natural at this time of year for us all to get a bit reflective. So, at a time when the Internet is poised to go crazy with nostalgia for the last eleven and a bit months, it seems fitting to devote this installment of Drowned in Newcastle to an attempt to round up all of the great stuff which has happened in our music scene over the course of 2011.»

In Depth by Sean Adams

This Week's Singles: 18/10/10

In Depth by Wendy Roby

This week we have more bands whose singles are really hard to find, they are not smeared liberally over Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo or any other popular musical delivery system you might care to create and then staff with young men in too-tight denims. Now, either Try Before You Buy is coming to an end, or bands' peoples are just a bit lax. Me, I make no comment about this fact, I merely present it for the benefit of the reader.
