James Murphy is such a bloody tease, isn't he? Well, either that or the music press read far too much into his throwaway statements. Oh, here we go again! There was that time last year when he was chucking around statements indicating that the current LCD Soundsystem album would be the last and one last tour etc. etc. but it isn't all dead. Oh no. »

So, the LCD Soundsystem album This Is Happening has been drip-fed to us in the last month or so, firstly with the abrasively arrogant 'Drunk Girls' and then a some more. Rumour has that it has, unfortunately, leaked onto the vast space of information that makes up the internet. As tends to happen with events like this (see: MGMT) bands now put up an album stream sharpish. »

THIS IS THE NEWS. Or it was the news, being a compilation of some of the most noteworthy stories of the first quarter of the year and the first...umm... 0.3333333 2.5 per cent of the decade (GCSE Maths, Grade B), if you want to get decimal about it all. Unfortunately, so far this year some of the biggest stories have also been the saddest, with three of music's brightest stars being lost to us forever, save through their music. »

Yeah, this has been floating around for a good few hours right now but due to a combination of factors (one of them being spending far too long on a FCC train sans internet connection and any available seats) we're only just getting round to it.
