John Otway

John Otway is probably best known for his recent campaign for a hit single whereby members of his fanclub were urged to buy their way onto the record by paying £10 each in order to record a 'Perfect Day' style b-side at Abbey Road studios, part of which went towards buying copies of the single therefore ensuring it's advance sales pushed it int the Top 10. What song am I referring to? The 'Disco Inferno' stealing 'Bunsen Burner' of course! Prior to that, Otway has been around since the late seventies peddling his punkrock/pubrock/heavyrock/yobrock and even appeared in eighties children's TV show 'Supergran'!
